About The Biochem Tutor

I'm currently a third year medical student at the University of Semmelweis, and previously studied cellular and molecular medicine at the university of Bristol.

I have tutored extensively during my time at University. I've has worked with prospective medical students and have used my mathematical and scientific capabilities to help a number of children prepare for key examinations.

I engaged in many programs at Bristol University to help students in their transition to university.

About my sessions

My teaching is based on a concept called active recall.

"Active recall involves retrieving information from memory through, essentially, testing yourself at every stage of the revision process. The very act of retrieving information and data from our brains not only strengthens our ability to retain information but also improves connections in our brains between different concepts."

This concept is highly popular with medical students as it has been proven to be an effective and time efficient way of learning and understanding new material, especially when it comes to the sciences.

While my lessons can feel fast paced and intensive, many of my students have commented on my relaxed and friendly style which is key to helping students feel comfortable with their learning and allow them to show their true potential.

Progress is tracked continuously as we answer past paper questions and I record the overall accuracy and knowledge level of the student.
